The curriculum features interactive lectures, seminars, hands-on projects, assessments, and presentations.About the Tizard CentreAs a division of the School of Psychology, the Tizard Centre leads in education and research related to autism, intellectual disabilities, and community care. Recognized for excellence, the Centre was honored with a Queen’s Anniversary Prize in 2013.We maintain strong partnerships with healthcare providers, social services, and related institutions. Through research, education, and advisory services, we pursue three key objectives:Enhancing understanding of effective support strategies for individuals with learning disabilitiesEquipping caregivers, administrators, and professionals with values and skills to improve service qualitySupporting decision-makers and practitioners in delivering superior services.The Tizard Centre is renowned for pioneering work in community integration, behavioral challenges, staff training, personal relationships, life quality improvement, and autism research—significantly influencing national policies. We actively work to reduce disparities caused by social inequality.

Qualification Requirements

A good honours degree, typically in psychology or other relevant social sciences, or comparable professional qualifications and experience. Those who do not meet the degree requirement but have significant relevant work experience may still be considered for entry. Applicants may be asked to complete an admission task or an interview as part of the admissions process. IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component. PTE Academic 67 with a minimum of 59 in each sub-test. A degree from the UK. A degree from a Majority English Speaking Country.
