In postgraduate research (PGR) programs, students conduct investigations and compose a dissertation under the guidance of faculty advisors. Thesis length depends on the degree type (maximum 100,000 words for PhD candidates, or 40,000 words for MSc research students). Scholars engage with the School's dynamic postgraduate network and can attend various seminar series hosted by Research Themes and Centres. Given the global scope and varied nature of field-based studies, time spent on campus differs among researchers. Nevertheless, initial months typically involve campus-based research methodology training and seminar participation. DICE curricula integrate theoretical knowledge with hands-on fieldwork, preparing graduates for successful careers in government agencies, non-profits, and corporate environments.
