Recognized as a leader in autism, intellectual disability, and community care research, the Centre was honored with a Queen's Anniversary Prize in 2013 for its exceptional contributions in these fields.
Our postgraduate programs enhance career opportunities for experienced professionals and newcomers alike. Many enrolled students already hold positions working with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, whether in professional, managerial, or support roles. These courses aid their ongoing professional growth and open doors for career progression. Meanwhile, students just starting out often transition into various health and social care roles, such as psychologists specializing in learning disabilities, behavioral specialists in community teams, service management positions, clinical psychology training, or doctoral research.
