The program provides specialized concentrations in modern art, photography, Renaissance studies, medieval art, 18th-century British paintings, 19th-century French artworks, modernist movements, aesthetic theories, and art/film philosophy. Students can choose the Philosophy of Art & Aesthetics track, leveraging our Aesthetics Research Group's knowledge. This interdisciplinary, cross-cultural program begins at our Canterbury campus, where participants enjoy full access to top-tier academic and recreational resources during the autumn term. For the spring term, students transition to Paris School of Arts and Culture, studying at the renowned Columbia Global Center (Reid Hall) in Montparnasse's historic district.
Designed for graduates in art history, philosophy, and related fields like fine arts, this program enables advanced study of visual arts, fosters expertise in art history and philosophy topics, and prepares students for doctoral research in either art history or art philosophy.
