Delve into critical inquiries through our combined Criminology and Cultural Studies degree. Kent's program, offered by the School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research, provides diverse specialized modules examining race, societal transformation, justice systems, disability studies, and artistic expressions. Our faculty members are globally renowned for their contributions to criminological theories and justice policies, frequently advising government bodies on current policy matters. The first year introduces foundational concepts in criminology, sociology, and cultural studies, followed by training in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

During your second and third years, select from various electives exploring modern culture, youth dynamics, digital platforms, and incarceration sociology.

You may also undertake a self-directed dissertation, enabling deep exploration of a personally compelling subject area.
