Our program prepares Physician Associates to provide skilled, empathetic healthcare as integral members of hospital, primary care, and community teams. Graduates who successfully complete this course will qualify to take the National Licensing Examination for professional certification.
Physician Associates serve as essential partners to physicians, collaborating within diverse medical teams to diagnose and treat patients. Though still an emerging field within the NHS, the growing presence of Physician Associates throughout the UK highlights their increasingly valued contribution to exceptional patient care. This professional standing is further reinforced by the General Medical Council's oversight of Physician Associate regulation.
Students in the Physician Associate program will primarily study at the University of Hull, utilizing the state-of-the-art Allam Medical Building at the center of the university's £28 million health campus. Hands-on procedural training occurs at our specialized teaching facilities within Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, including Castle Hill Hospital and Hull Royal Infirmary, where students develop and refine clinical skills.
