A Master's by Research (MSc) program enables students to complete a one-year (full-time) research-focused degree with minimal structured coursework. This format provides an opportunity to investigate a specialized research area in less time than a comprehensive PhD program.
Unlike traditional Master's programs, research-based students select a defined project and enjoy more autonomy in their academic work.
Students collaborate with their supervisor to establish an approved study plan during the initial months. Throughout the research process, participants can enhance their methodological skills through specialized training workshops and academic events.
The program culminates in submitting a concise thesis of approximately 25,000 words for evaluation.
Graduates who find the research experience rewarding may choose to pursue advanced doctoral studies (PhD) after earning their degree.
