This program offers graduates with a bachelor's degree the chance to complete a two-year intensive Master's program, leading to eligibility for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Designed to cultivate confident, skilled, and empathetic learning disability nurses, the course prepares students for today's dynamic healthcare landscape.

Participants will enhance both clinical and theoretical abilities to excel as learning disability nurses while meeting NMC Standards. The curriculum covers professional ethics, effective communication, clinical practice, critical thinking, and leadership development. Field-specific practical training addresses diverse physical, mental, and social care requirements.
With an equal balance of classroom instruction (50%) and hands-on experience (50%), this rigorous program includes placements across various healthcare environments. Spanning two years with mandatory modules, students collaborate with peers from different nursing specialties.
The University maintains robust partnerships with NHS Trusts throughout West Yorkshire and beyond, along with private providers serving individuals with learning disabilities

Completed 12 years of general education.
GCSE English Language or Literature and Maths at grade 4 or above, or grade C or above if awarded under the previous GCSE grading scheme, or equivalent.

The minimum for IELTS is 6.5 overall with no element lower than 6.0, or equivalent will be considered acceptable.
