Our combined Master's in Law and Practice (MLaw) offers a distinctive curriculum that includes a complete LLB(Hons) Law qualification while also enabling you to earn a Master's degree in Law. This challenging yet immensely fulfilling program equips you for a dynamic legal career, with particular focus on building the skills needed for the Solicitors Qualifying Exams (SQE1 and SQE2).
This program enhances your abilities in client interviews, legal advocacy, document drafting, and understanding legal ethics, conduct, and procedures—preparing you for a solicitor career in England and Wales. You'll also acquire versatile skills like constructing persuasive arguments, client communication, meticulous attention to detail, critical analysis, creative problem-solving, and both independent and collaborative work. Opportunities include volunteering at the Legal Advice Centre and participating in the Moot Scheme, where you'll observe legal practice firsthand and refine solicitor competencies. Through our Mentoring Scheme and Law Careers Fair, you can connect with Partner Law firms, opening doors to potential work placements or employment.
With adaptable course options, you can defer your decision until Year 2—choosing between an academic path (LLB Hons Law) or practice-oriented routes like Law and Practice or the Master's in Law and Practice.
