Our methodology has an international perspective, rooted in fairness, and actively addresses practical challenges.
The four-year MLaw program (extending to five years with study abroad or placement) builds the same fundamental legal competencies as the LLB, while exploring more sophisticated subjects through master's-level study. You'll examine all core legal domains alongside diverse electives such as: Intellectual property law, Global environmental regulations, Legal studies in literature, Civil liberties, Forensic evidence applications
You'll cultivate a nuanced understanding of law's role within social, political, and economic frameworks. Beyond memorizing statutes, you'll analyze law's societal purpose, legal philosophy, policy matters, and legislative improvements. Additionally, you can concentrate your studies in one of three specializations: civil rights law, global legal systems, or business law.
At Essex, we don't merely train you for legal practice. We ignite your passion for justice and provide the tools to become a catalyst for change, regardless of your professional direction.
