Our Music and Sound for Screen BA(Hons) program teaches you to compose music and craft sound effects for movies, television, and video games. This professionally accredited course covers composition, orchestration, sound design, recording techniques, and live performance.
You'll have opportunities to work alongside students from screenwriting, acting, film production, and other disciplines within our Yorkshire Film and Television School. Learn from faculty members who are practicing film composers with experience in the UK, European, and Hollywood industries. Enroll in this program and you could have your compositions featured in professional music libraries, following in the footsteps of our alumni whose work has aired on major TV networks.

Industry professionals regularly visit campus to share career insights, including Oscar and Bafta-winning Sound Editor John Warhurst (a Huddersfield graduate) and multi-talented artist Nitin Sawhney, known for his work as a producer, songwriter, and orchestral composer.
