The University of Northampton's Music Production program unfolds across three phases. Initially, you'll build core competencies in every aspect of music production.
Year one establishes foundational knowledge in key areas: DAW sequencing, audio/MIDI technology, acoustics, studio engineering, hardware applications, synthesis techniques, critical listening, and analytical writing. Later years allow deeper exploration of your chosen specializations.
During the advanced stages, you can focus your studies, selecting from concentrations like music production, composition, live sound engineering, media/game audio, sound design, or music pedagogy.
