To perform research and create innovative contributions that push forward knowledge in the fields of (1) Mobile and Wireless Communications and Networks, covering subjects like Multiple and massive antenna communications, Cooperative, multiuser and relay-based communication systems, Cognitive radio and spectrum sensing technologies, Non-orthogonal and orthogonal multicarrier transmission methods, Energy-efficient and energy-harvesting communication systems, Wireless power transfer and simultaneous data-power transmission, Full-duplex communication networks, Millimeter wave wireless and mobile technologies, and (2) Radio Frequency and Analog Circuits and Systems, focusing on areas such as Software-defined radio transceiver designs, RF and millimeter wave circuit technologies, Analog and mixed-signal system development, Testing and troubleshooting of analog/mixed-signal circuits, Reconfigurable analog and RF circuit designs, Low-power and low-voltage circuit solutions, RF energy harvesting systems, and Wireless power transfer circuit implementations.
