Qualification Requirements

To be eligible for the MA Screenwriting postgraduate course we consider prospective students with either a 2:2 undergraduate honours degree in a closely related field (either Film or television Production, Creative Writing or Creative English language related subject), or three years working in industry in a related subject area. Please note, we do not want applicants without experience of writing short scripts or feature length scripts. This is not a conversion course for those wanting to move into film - this is for screenwriters with some experience in writing for film already.

All international students are required to demonstrate suitable levels of English language competence. This can be through previous study of English tests. All undergraduates must be able to provide a minimum of IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 6.5 in writing and reading.

TOEFL IBT - Score of 79
Pearson Test of English (PTE) - 58 (with no less than 42 in any one band)
