You'll enroll in a program recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), enabling you to earn the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification as you approach graduation. Throughout your studies, you'll explore the three core areas of sport science: physiology (including nutrition), biomechanics, and psychology. The curriculum covers human anatomy, athletic performance, and strength and conditioning techniques. You'll utilize performance laboratories to master the evaluation and enhancement of sports performance. Additionally, you'll acquire essential insights into how exercise contributes to better health and wellness.
Graduates pursue diverse career paths, showcasing the program's multidisciplinary approach. Alumni have secured roles with elite athletes, professional sports organizations, fitness centers, and the National Health Service. Others have entered the leisure sector, military, fire service, or coaching positions. Many continue their education through Master's programs, PhD studies, or teacher training courses.
