Our BSc (Hons) Songwriting and Artist Development program stands out as one of five dynamic offerings in our Undergraduate Music lineup. Designed to nurture your artistic growth, this is the UK's sole songwriting degree awarding a Bachelor of Science (BSc), thanks to its distinctive combination of creative, technical, and business elements that prepare you for a thriving career in songwriting.
You'll refine your songwriting abilities to craft your unique musical identity while gaining expertise in recording, producing, and mastering your work to meet industry standards for marketing and promotion.
Throughout the program, you'll engage in extensive collaboration across the School of Creative Arts, working alongside students specializing in Composition, Music Production, Audio Engineering, plus Live Sound and Lighting to mirror real-world creative processes. Numerous opportunities exist to collaborate and showcase your music in cutting-edge performance venues, including our recurring HertsLive showcase and the annual SonicHerts festival.
