This English and Drama program allows you to fully engage with theatrical arts while receiving an excellent academic foundation in English literature. You'll gain profound insights into how various writing forms—including prose, poetry, and plays—interconnect with performance, acting, and modern theater production. Your hands-on theater experience and literary analysis skills will mutually enhance each other.

Through rigorous drama instruction and access to UEA's Drama Studio facilities, you'll refine your stagecraft abilities. The curriculum explores literary works spanning different eras and styles, from timeless classics to contemporary pieces. Norwich, with its rich theatrical heritage and vibrant cultural landscape, provides an ideal setting for studying both English literature and drama.
