Midwives offer crucial support throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period for mothers and newborns. You'll develop a thorough understanding of typical maternal health and learn to identify and address potential complications. The program teaches how to conduct examinations for expectant mothers and their babies following delivery. While studying midwifery principles, you'll spend equal time in clinical environments working alongside seasoned professionals. The curriculum includes the valuable Newborn and Infant Physical Examination (NIPE) certification, enhancing your ability to deliver specialized care.
