Join a leading History department and learn from the forefront of historical scholarship. Enhance your abilities with a distinctive film program that blends cinematic art theory with hands-on film production training.
Our comprehensive and inclusive History curriculum covers a wide range of cultures and identities. We emphasize the history of ordinary people and daily life, particularly evident in our first-year courses. These explore the shaping of the contemporary world through themes like religion, magic and healing, social justice movements, Africa's global connections, and U.S. history from Hamilton to Trump.
Our Film faculty adopts an equally global perspective. You'll examine Hollywood, international cinema, European films, and the British film industry, gaining professional insights into successful filmmaking while appreciating varied styles, cultural contexts, and production methods.
