Our English Literature and Creative Writing program empowers you to discover your unique voice, whether you aspire to be a poet, playwright, novelist, or literary scholar. This combined curriculum merges literary analysis with hands-on creative writing practice. Engaging with literature enhances your comprehension of textual mechanics, while this deeper analytical perspective informs and elevates your own creative work. We provide an inspiring, nurturing environment to develop ideas, refine skills, and interpret literary works. Our creative writing faculty includes acclaimed professionals like poetry instructor Wayne Holloway-Smith, recipient of the Poetry Society's Geoffrey Dearmer Prize and Seamus Heaney Prize nominee, who blend artistic and scholarly approaches to literature.
