We cultivate outstanding educators who demonstrate resilience, critical thinking, and reflective teaching practices. Our program offers the advantage of the university's dedication to inclusion, diversity, and supporting underprivileged communities. Through comprehensive curricula and hands-on placement training, we thoroughly prepare graduates for their teaching careers (Ofsted 2023).
The PGCE Primary program focuses on equipping new teachers to meet the Teachers' Standards. Participants will be encouraged to exceed these benchmarks, with our goal being to help them reach exceptional professional performance. Equally vital is the academic credential earned: the Postgraduate Certificate (PGCE). Academic learning and professional development in teacher training complement each other perfectly. University modules emphasize tackling complex challenges and honing analytical abilities, often drawing from practical experiences during both evaluated and non-evaluated school placements.
Our approach to teacher education extends beyond technical skills to nurture deep values and a genuine dedication to children's holistic wellbeing. The program is fundamentally driven by principles of social justice.
