Our economics doctoral program (MPhil/PhD) enables you to conduct thorough and analytical investigation into any economics specialization with guidance from experienced faculty mentors.

The Economics MPhil/PhD program requires creating a significant original contribution to your selected discipline. Differing from structured degree programs, this path emphasizes independent research and novel insights. Initial coursework in your first year develops sophisticated techniques for collecting, examining, and presenting both quantitative and qualitative research data.

Our accomplished faculty members provide supervision across diverse economics fields including political economy, macroeconomic theory, microeconomic analysis, employment economics, feminist economic perspectives, environmental economics, gender-aware macroeconomics, care sector economics, public finance, central banking policies, sustainable growth strategies, ecological economics, inequality studies (covering income, wealth, gender, racial, geographic and global disparities), institutional economics, technological progress, efficiency analysis, empirical economics applications, and numerous other specializations.
