Our MA in Social and Public Policy adopts an interdisciplinary approach to examining pressing global challenges faced by societies and policymakers. This program prepares students to critically analyze the formulation of social policies and the governance of welfare systems. It offers deep perspectives on the social, economic, cultural, and technological forces behind worldwide transformations and their impact on inequality and welfare rights debates. We investigate social policy as an arena where diverse stakeholders—including government agencies, community organizations, political entities, NGOs, and businesses—interact to define, tackle, or overlook various societal issues. Student learning and success form the cornerstone of our teaching philosophy, which draws from cutting-edge research and partnerships with external institutions. The program's interdisciplinary and practical framework helps students gain specialized knowledge while building a robust skill set to thrive in the international job market. The curriculum fosters student engagement and collaborative knowledge-building through both academic and extracurricular initiatives like policy evaluation, networking with expert guest speakers, and involvement in professional events. Our teaching incorporates creative, inclusive techniques such as simulations, problem-based learning, and hands-on group projects. Graduates will emerge with sophisticated subject-matter expertise, proficiency in research methodologies, and well-honed analytical, communication, creative, and digital competencies.
