The BA (Hons) in Education and Learning at the University of Bolton offers an engaging program blending contemporary educational policies with historical, sociological, philosophical, and psychological perspectives. This degree provides a comprehensive examination of pressing educational challenges both in the UK and internationally.
Central to this program are themes like critical reflection, equity, and inclusion. Through examining both conscious and unconscious learning processes, we investigate how structured education and gained knowledge influence our personal development, passions, and belief systems.
Students are prompted to investigate diverse educational approaches and evaluate both personal and collective learning experiences. This fosters analytical thinking about pedagogical methods and societal perceptions of education.
Successful completion prepares graduates for advanced academic pursuits. While the program doesn't confer Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), it includes practical placements in educational settings to strengthen applications for teacher training programs.
