The Doctor of Education (EdD) program distinguishes itself from a PhD by concentrating on practical professional challenges rather than theoretical concepts, catering specifically to experienced educators such as teachers, lecturers, consultants, advisors, or inspectors. This advanced degree enables participants to critically examine and improve their professional approaches through interaction with current theories, policies, and research findings. The EdD draws education professionals from various backgrounds, with participants representing diverse educational environments like universities, school districts, K-12 institutions, and early childhood education centers.
