Editorial photography captures narratives, crafted to captivate, motivate, and educate viewers. You'll find it in magazines, both printed and digital, as well as social media content for platforms like Instagram and TikTok, blog imagery, and behind-the-scenes shots for films, TV productions, and brands. Advertising photography, on the other hand, focuses on promotion—boosting sales, increasing visibility for brands, products, services, and nonprofits across print media, magazines, posters, transit ads, and all digital platforms from social networks to online banners. You'll join our collaborative Ed&Ad Photo community, where students across different years and disciplines support each other, backed by an incredible alumni network dedicated to nurturing your creative and academic growth. Our students produce both still and moving images spanning diverse fields—fashion to culinary arts, sports to automotive, music to still life, portraiture to interior design—ensuring we can cultivate your unique interests while preparing you for professional applications.
Our program boasts strong international connections with book and magazine publishers, galleries, ad agencies, and photography festivals. We've collaborated with global brands like Converse (China), Superdry (UK), Specialized (US), and Lululemon (Canada). Internship opportunities have included prestigious publications such as InStyle, Mail on Sunday, The Guardian, Vanity Fair, and Vogue. Many students secure paid assignments from their placement hosts during their studies and transition into full-time roles upon graduation. Additional experiences include assisting renowned photographers and showcasing work in major cities like London, Milan, Paris, New York, Shanghai, and Vancouver.
