Demographic shifts, human mobility, geopolitical tensions, economic progress, transnational crime, public health, and demographic transitions. These represent some of the most urgent societal issues facing our era, all fundamentally rooted in geography and central to our BA Geography program. You'll cultivate a global perspective, explore diverse geographical contexts, and master comprehensive research methodologies. The skills you gain will be highly adaptable, with Geography graduates remaining among the most in-demand professionals, capable of excelling across numerous career paths.
Your journey will evolve from UK-based fieldwork training in Year 1 to international research expeditions in Year 2 and professional placements in Year 3, creating lasting memories across European, African, and American landscapes. The curriculum offers flexibility to incorporate physical geography elements from our BSc Geography program or transition to the BSc degree until Year 2's conclusion. Additionally, you can spend a semester during Year 2 studying at partner institutions in Canada, the United States, or New Zealand.
