Physical geography examines the fundamental systems shaping our planet, including the atmosphere, water systems, living organisms, and geological formations. This program offers access to cutting-edge technology at Lancaster Environment Centre (LEC), plus a year abroad in destinations like the USA, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand for practical experience. You'll benefit from top-tier instruction throughout your academic journey.

First-year courses provide comprehensive exposure to core physical geography concepts. Alongside your geography studies, you can select two complementary subjects. Deepen your environmental knowledge by choosing another LEC discipline like Environmental Science, while also selecting a third subject from LEC or other university departments (such as Biology or Mathematics) to broaden your skill set.
