The Glasgow Dental School Clinical Research Facility is dedicated to enhancing oral and overall health through innovative approaches to disease prevention and treatment. Our research initiatives seek to make meaningful contributions both locally and globally.
Within our School of Medicine, Dentistry & Nursing, we foster a dynamic international community of postgraduate researchers. Most pursue PhD studies within our two key research areas: Community Oral Health examines health disparities throughout life, with special emphasis on children, older adults, and head/neck cancer patients. This involves investigating biological, social, and behavioral factors to create and assess effective interventions at all levels. Oral Sciences explores how microorganisms contribute to oral diseases and affect overall health, particularly through biofilm formation. The College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences Graduate School offers an engaging, supportive atmosphere for all postgraduate scholars, with comprehensive guidance from specialized advisors, expert supervisors, and dedicated student support services.
