Tailored for individuals qualified to register with the UK's Health Professions Council as clinical psychologists.
Created in collaboration with NHS Education for Scotland, delivering specialized expertise for clinical psychologists and healthcare practitioners across Scotland and the wider UK. Recognized by the British Psychological Society Division of Neuropsychology, this program fulfills the foundational knowledge requirement for the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN). Boasts a longstanding research focus in clinical neuroscience and neuropsychology. Most participants are NHS-employed clinical psychologists who typically complete the part-time program over two years, though some finish all coursework within one year. Instruction is delivered exclusively by experts, including the University's clinical academics alongside specialists from throughout the UK and occasionally abroad. The curriculum comprises eight courses organized into teaching blocks, with each two-week block covering two courses.
Graduates qualify for inclusion in the British Psychological Society's Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists. Alumni have secured diverse positions throughout the NHS, including roles as clinical psychologists, educators, neuropsychologists, and senior clinical psychologists.
