Our internationally-focused, cross-disciplinary research initiatives are built upon rigorous, adaptable graduate programs designed to challenge students.
We provide postgraduate researchers with diverse opportunities for self-directed learning, ranging from intensive one-year master's courses to comprehensive three-year PhD programs. By enrolling in these programs, you'll become part of a dynamic and growing academic community. We encourage applications from students with varied experiences, pursuing specialized topics through methodologies spanning arts, humanities, and social sciences - including, when relevant, practice-based research approaches.
The Master of Philosophy (Research) program demands completion of advanced specialized study and original research that makes a meaningful addition to existing knowledge.
Our Graduate School fosters an interdisciplinary, collaborative atmosphere for all research students. We provide comprehensive support through various services, coursework, and professional development opportunities. Within the College of Arts & Humanities, students join an intellectually stimulating environment alongside peers in both taught master's and research degree programs. Every department within the college conducts groundbreaking research that shapes global academic discourse.
Our regular standard of admission is at least an Upper Second Class Honours degree (2:1), although candidates will usually also have completed or be undertaking a Masters qualification.
