The MA Ceramics program at Staffordshire University is globally acknowledged as a premier postgraduate course in ceramics for both small-scale and industrial production. Focused on ceramic design and manufacturing, this program provides a comprehensive creative journey that bridges various modern concepts and approaches. Spanning from functional product design to artistic sculpture and installations, it incorporates cross-disciplinary viewpoints that examine ceramics as both medium and theme. The curriculum draws from decades of specialized expertise, hands-on skills, and professional methodologies cultivated in Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, and at the university itself. With recent upgrades in advanced technologies, students gain exceptional opportunities to combine digital innovation with traditional craftsmanship and material understanding. While clay and ceramics form the foundation of this program, it actively encourages experimentation with additional materials to broaden creative possibilities.
