The Product Design Engineering program is collaboratively taught by the University and The Glasgow School of Art (GSA), blending engineering principles with creative design. Throughout the course, you'll engage with industry partners, potentially opening doors to internships and career prospects. Field visits to top-tier industrial facilities are also part of the experience.
Your studies will cover product design engineering (taught by GSA), along with mathematics, dynamics, electronics, materials science, statics, thermodynamics, and essential engineering skills. This multidisciplinary foundation allows seamless transition to other engineering fields after the first year if desired.
With over 150 years of excellence in engineering education and research, we're the UK's oldest Engineering School. Our undergraduate offerings span traditional disciplines (Aeronautics, Civil, Electronics & Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering) alongside specialized programs like Biomedical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Electronics with Music, and Civil Engineering with Architecture.
Our alumni have secured positions at major corporations including: Apple, Bosch, Dell, Dyson, GlaxoSmithKline, Logitech, Jaguar Land Rover, and TomTom.
