Exploring Celtic Civilisation delves into the rich heritage of Celtic peoples, tracing their societal evolution, literary works, artifacts, artistic expressions, and spiritual beliefs from ancient European roots to contemporary Britain and Ireland. This program allows you to examine both medieval and modern traditions of Celtic-speaking communities alongside leading researchers, available as part of a combined degree without mandatory language study. The University maintains vibrant exchange programs with Trinity College Dublin and institutions across North America and Australia that specialize in Celtic studies. Alumni have pursued diverse paths including education at all levels, museum curation, heritage conservation roles, publishing industries, and literary promotion. Many have also advanced to postgraduate research and academic careers.

Advanced entry
Applicants who achieve exceptional grades in their Advanced Highers, A-levels or International Baccalaureate may be considered for Advanced Entry, meaning that an Honours degree can be completed in three years instead of the normal four years, or four years for five-year integrated Masters programmes.
