Psychology explores the scientific examination of mental processes and actions. It focuses on comprehending human cognition, behavior, responses, and social dynamics, enabling psychologists to assist individuals while also tackling broader social challenges through scholarly research and applied practice. A psychology degree offers limitless career possibilities, thanks to the valuable graduate competencies, psychological knowledge, and analytical abilities developed during the program. Our institution combines globally renowned expertise in experimental psychology, cognitive science, and cognitive neuroscience to advance the understanding of human and animal conduct.
This program holds accreditation from the British Psychological Society (BPS). Students graduating with at least upper second-class honors in Psychology qualify for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC), initiating their journey toward becoming Chartered Psychologists. The School of Psychology & Neuroscience fosters a vibrant student community, with the Psychology Society organizing diverse activities including retreats, social gatherings, and collaborative workshops throughout the academic year.
Our nurturing academic setting helps students build comprehensive psychological expertise while acquiring versatile skills for their professional futures. The curriculum blends lectures, assignments, and laboratory sessions to present fundamental concepts, research, and studies in the discipline—all aimed at honing research autonomy, analytical reasoning, and communication abilities. While psychologists are commonly associated with healthcare and education sectors, psychology graduates thrive across numerous fields. The degree unlocks opportunities in educational, clinical, occupational psychology, and counseling, with growing numbers entering adjacent domains like data analytics, teaching, social robotics & AI, and youth mental health services, alongside academic research and university teaching roles.
