Pursuing a PhD offers an intellectually engaging and fulfilling journey, enabling you to investigate a legal topic of personal interest. To earn a PhD, your dissertation must contribute fresh, original insights to legal scholarship, whether by advancing innovative doctrinal or theoretical approaches to the subject matter or through empirical studies that yield new understandings of legal issues. Family structures continue to evolve in diverse ways. The Network on Family Regulation and Society is establishing a socio-legal research framework to examine how these transformations affect the governance of family and personal relationships within legal and policy contexts. This initiative aims to ground family policy in robust, evidence-based research.

An MA by Research serves as strong proof to academic or professional employers of your capacity to perform autonomous research and generate original work within set timeframes. This research-focused Master's degree could launch an academic path or significantly improve your career prospects in the legal field. You'll gain from the School's extensive connections with legal professionals at local, national, and global levels. Our outstanding reputation among graduate employers ensures that Law School graduates excel in the job market. Annually, the Careers and Employment Service organizes a Law Careers Fair, attracting numerous legal firms seeking to recruit the University's graduates.
