An innovative cross-disciplinary program exploring humanity and societies through both natural and social science lenses.
Interactive teaching approaches will be implemented across the curriculum, featuring hands-on investigations with databases, mapping systems, and GIS technologies, globally relevant course materials, and practical exercises that progress from local studies in Year 1 to worldwide examinations by graduation.
Collaboratively taught by Biosciences, Geography, and Environmental Science departments, this program bridges biological systems, political-environmental challenges, and societal structures.
The curriculum spans diverse subjects, ranging from human origins and genetic studies to cultural development and diversity, extending to sustainability and human-environment interactions.
In the final year, students undertake an in-depth research project in a specialized field connected to our prominent research teams.
The program includes a two-week immersive field course to enhance scientific research methods, discussion techniques, and presentation abilities.
