The Space, Politics and Society research team explores the fundamental question of resource distribution across locations and the mechanisms behind it. We conduct both theoretical and applied studies focusing on democratic systems, inequality, technological impacts, and religious influences.
Our work seeks to re-examine core geographical concepts, addressing urban and regional challenges, public-private sector dynamics, nation-building processes, and worldwide trends. Group members collaborate on international projects spanning the UK, Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America, with support from funding bodies including the AHRC, ESRC, ERC, and Leverhulme Trust.
