Explore the history of film and television while examining global cinema to grasp cinema's influence in modern media
Acquire comprehensive understanding of film and TV as cultural, societal, industrial, and worldwide phenomena
Build analytical skills and terminology to critically assess culture and your place within it.

The first year introduces specialized terminology for film analysis and methods for studying cinema as both visual and auditory art. You'll learn about pivotal movements in cinema history, core theories, and intercultural exchanges between global film traditions.

During the second year, you'll examine the evolution of American cinema and modern film philosophy concepts.

In your final year, you can focus on personal interests by selecting from diverse specialized modules, including American indie films, surrealist cinema, or war in visual media. You'll also have the option to write a thesis or produce a creative video essay/short film on a subject of your choosing.
