Our multidisciplinary School of Sport, Rehabilitation and Exercise Sciences provides research supervision across all areas of faculty expertise in sports science, exercise science, and related disciplines. Our cutting-edge facilities feature diverse equipment including ergometers, treadmills, portable gas analyzers, force plates, isokinetic dynamometers, a Vicon motion capture system, electronic timing gates, comprehensive blood analysis systems (with pulse oximeters and co-oximeters), and various EMG setups. Students can also explore non-invasive brain function studies through our school's resources and collaborations with the cognitive neuroscience lab in the Psychology Department, utilizing EEG, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS).

You will need a good honours degree or Masters degree, or equivalent, in a related subject. A well-developed research proposal is also essential. If English is not your first language, we require IELTS 6.5, or equivalent, with a minimum of 5.5 in all other components, TOEFL IBT 88 overall with minimum component scores: listening 17, reading 18, writing 17, and speaking 20.
