Our British Psychological Society (BPS) conversion programs cater to graduates from non-psychology backgrounds who aspire to enter the psychology field. The MSc Psychology program welcomes applicants without any prior psychology education.
This program draws diverse participants, including recent graduates from non-psychology disciplines and professionals seeking career transitions. Upon completion, graduates gain eligibility to pursue professional psychology qualifications. The 180-credit MSc requires no psychology background, while the 120-credit PGDip mandates 60 prior psychology credits.
PGDip and MSc students share classes initially, with MSc candidates taking extra modules from term two. This structure allows seamless transfers between programs during the first term, provided entry requirements are met.
Both qualifications grant Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the BPS, serving as the foundation for professional psychology training. Psychology systematically examines behavior and mental processes, intersecting with biological sciences like neuroscience and social sciences including sociology.
The curriculum offers specialized support for conversion students, fostering a strong academic community among participants.
