The MSD Biostatistics program offers a research-focused degree through the Department of Mathematical Sciences. Our biostatistics faculty conducts cutting-edge research in statistical methodologies, including survival analysis, longitudinal studies, Bayesian approaches, biological/behavioral data interpretation, and spatial statistics. Collaborative opportunities span clinical trials, genetics, infectious disease modeling, and data visualization - we encourage prospective students to inquire about additional research possibilities.
Through partnerships with our University's School of Life Sciences, School of Health and Social Care, and the Institute for Social and Economic Research, students gain access to interdisciplinary research projects.
Pursuing a mathematics research degree enables you to acquire valuable skills that strengthen your professional profile.
