The Statistics and Probability Group explores diverse research areas in statistical methods and probability theory, applying these to various disciplines from finance to biological sciences.
Statistical analysis and probabilistic modeling form the foundation for interpreting complex data and measuring uncertainty in real-world scenarios. Our work employs advanced mathematical frameworks to uncover underlying trends and enable accurate forecasting.
We foster a dynamic, team-oriented research culture. A key advantage of our group is our established partnerships with other York University departments (including Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Psychology) as well as external institutions and scientific organizations like Fera.
