Our MPhil in History program provides supervision across diverse topics spanning from approximately 1500 to modern times, with special emphasis on subjects connected to our three research clusters and the Centre for Public History. These research groups explore key themes including racial studies, gender and identity, political systems, social class and civic participation, along with warfare, conflict and historical memory. Our faculty possesses specialized knowledge in these regions: Britain (incorporating local and regional studies), Europe, the United States, Latin America, Russia, Southern Africa and East Asia. We are committed to delivering top-tier research guidance and personalized supervision in a welcoming environment, fostering strong academic relationships between faculty and students.
