Our Nursing Studies PhD program provides an exceptional chance to conduct research on nursing principles and practices.
The School of Health and Social Care collaborates closely with our Service User Reference Group (SURG), consisting of service users, caregivers, and volunteers who openly share their personal healthcare experiences. Together with SURG, we shape our curriculum to prioritize patient and client needs. SURG participates in our admissions process and frequently joins interview panels, helping us identify the most suitable candidates for both the program and their professional futures. SURG members also contribute to teaching and research initiatives, offering valuable perspectives from their personal health journeys. This experience will not only enhance your clinical expertise but also strengthen your empathy, compassion, and advocacy skills.

Our alumni have secured roles in clinical and leadership positions across healthcare trusts, hospitals, care providers, and government agencies.
