Our PhD program in Computer Science focuses on key research areas including artificial intelligence, biologically inspired systems, educational technology, e-learning, evolutionary computation, natural language processing, software agents, and software engineering. We foster interdisciplinary collaboration, bringing together experts from electronics, computer science, mathematics, physics, and psychology.
As one of the UK's most well-equipped institutions, we provide extensive computing resources, specialized software, and advanced testing equipment. Our research spans diverse fields from computational theory and philosophy to artificial intelligence, robotics, and computer gaming, supported by state-of-the-art laboratories. With annual research funding reaching millions, we actively participate in EU programs and collaborate with government and industry partners.
