Our four-year BA Social Change program, which includes a foundation year, helps you build subject expertise while enhancing academic abilities. The foundation year (Year Zero) provides essential grounding in these areas, setting you up for three subsequent years of undergraduate study at Essex.

Upon successfully finishing Year Zero through our Essex Pathways Department, you'll advance to complete your degree with the School of Philosophical, Historical and Interdisciplinary Studies.

Hosted by our Interdisciplinary Studies Centre (ISC), this course lets you examine social change through multiple academic lenses.
