In today's interconnected digital world, the power to communicate across borders and cultures is more valuable than ever. Language serves as a bridge, enabling us to exchange knowledge and narratives with diverse global communities. Our BA Journalism and Modern Languages program helps you enhance your multimedia expertise while achieving proficiency in new languages.
The modern languages portion of this program offers choices including French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese. This integrates seamlessly with the journalism curriculum, where you'll master multimedia platforms like radio, television, and digital media while gaining international journalism expertise.

Language studies help you achieve near-native fluency, opening doors to global communication. Combined with practical journalism training, this dual focus prepares graduates for diverse career opportunities.

By your final year, you'll create an extensive portfolio of published work and complete a comprehensive multimedia project related to modern languages, showcasing your abilities to potential employers. You'll also specialize in an area like business, culture, politics, international relations, or sports, giving you a competitive edge in those fields.
You'll emerge as a versatile, multilingual communicator, proficient in English and your chosen language, with expertise across television, radio, digital, and print journalism. Advanced specialization options are available in your final year.
