In today's digital era, with news consumption reaching unprecedented levels, mastering compelling storytelling is essential for aspiring journalists. Our BA Journalism and Literature program enhances your narrative skills while helping you cultivate a unique journalistic voice.
This interdisciplinary course bridges literary studies with journalism practice. You'll examine diverse global subjects, from Shakespearean works to postcolonial narratives, while gaining hands-on experience with multimedia platforms including radio, television, and digital media - expanding your understanding of international journalism.
Your culminating year features a capstone multimedia project, allowing you to synthesize course elements by exploring a literature-related topic through journalistic mediums.

Qualification Requirements

A-levels: BBB - BBC or 120 – 112 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 2 full A-levels including B in one essay based subject BTEC: DDM – DMM or 120 – 112 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of the equivalent of 2 full A-levels. Other qualifications that hold UCAS tariff points, and combined qualifications: 120 – 112 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 2 full A levels or equivalent including B in one essay based subject. IB: 30 - 29 points or three Higher Level certificates with 555-554. Either must include 5 in one Higher Level essay based subject. We are also happy to consider a combination of separate IB Diploma Programme courses (formerly certificates) at both Higher and Standard Level. Exact offer levels will vary depending on the range of subjects being taken at higher and standard level, and the course applied for. IELTS- 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component TOEFL IBT- 76 overall, with a minimum of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing
