Our BA History and Heritage program explores the societal and political factors influencing how we engage with history daily and examines the stories behind cultural heritage. This interdisciplinary course combines history, art history, and museum studies to examine the past through multiple lenses. Students can explore diverse historical periods and locations, from Tudor England to Nazi Germany, from Maoist China to contemporary multicultural Britain. Alongside historical studies, you'll examine ethical and legal heritage discussions, preservation methods, communication strategies, and how different communities value heritage. In your final year, you'll create public-facing historical content - valuable experience for heritage sector careers.
